sick!
Sunday, 30 November 2008

when i woke up on Wed morning, i felt a bit uncomfortable, with a slight headache and flu, which i attributed as morning sinus. after breakfast i made my way to school for my day of mugging for Friday's paper, but by the time i reached school i felt worse. my headache was throbbing, i did not have appetite to eat anything or even to drink coffee, which had become my staple drink every morning. i tried to study but found it hard to concentrate. i had Pocky and coffee for lunch, because i did not have appetite for a proper meal, and i did not know that i was sick. i thought i was just not feeling well, maybe ate something wrong the day before. i kept thinking that i would feel better as the day went past.

finally at 3pm i decided that i should go back home, so i did, and when i took my temperature at my mom's suggestion, i realised i actually had a slight fever. so after popping 2 panadols, i went to take a nap until evening, when i felt better. that night i took another panadol before sleeping, and the following day i felt really good, so thank God for that =)

the reason why i chose to blog about such a trivial thing as being sick is because ever since i entered army, i have never had a fever before. so even a slight fever is a surprise to me and to the people around me. when i told my brother (currently in BMT) that i fell sick during the week, he replied "now that's a first". maybe it was the food, or the aircon room which i studied in all day, or not having enough rest, or something else that caused me to fall sick, but it was a good time of rest, and i thank God that my preparation for my Friday paper was not affected =)

giving thanks at 21:52 :)
