drama at thai 3 oral exam
Thursday, 13 November 2008

my thai 3 oral exam slot was supposed to be on Wed 8.20am to 8.40am at AS3 02 12, but when i reached there at 8.15am, no teacher was there. i waited with Terence (8.40am slot) and Yiteng (9am slot) until 9.30 before heading to look for the teachers at their offices. before that Terence and i went to the offices to check and make sure that we were at the correct venue. we knocked on the office doors of the thai teachers but no one was in. we also called the teachers whose handphone numbers we had many times, but no one picked up. by that time we were making theories as to why the teachers were not there, including a theory that the 3 of us were in another dimension. we even made observations that there were less people in NUS arts than usual, and that they were just walking past us as if they cannot see us. along the way we met Shirley (9.40am slot) and told her there was no teacher, so she followed us along to look for the teachers.

in the end we crashed the thai 1 oral exam venue, shocking the teachers there. one of them called the thai department head, and told us to go to her office. when we reached the office the teacher apologised profusely and offered to give us a replacement on Thurs 6 to 8pm, so we agreed. Terence and i thought that it would be a good opportunity to do something special for the teachers who had to stay back so late to invigilate us, and our fellow students too.

Terence and i decided to sing a Christian thai song for everyone during the oral exam, so we met up earlier on Thurs afternoon to practise the song and to pray together. in the end it was good =p everyone liked the song, and one of our Hindi fellow students even asked if she could keep the song lyrics and chords sheet.

i thank God that even through such circumstances He can provide opportunities for us to glorify Him =)

giving thanks at 21:54 :)
