internship
Saturday, 24 May 2008

it's been some time since my last post. i really should discipline myself to post something here regularly.

anyway i'm doing my internship now, at a sub contractor firm known as ECS Pte Ltd, situated in Tuas. the company deals with glassworks and steelworks, and we are currently involved in the construction of various condominiums and MRT stations around Singapore. as an intern i follow my boss around, and learn and help out as much as i can. initially before i started i was quite apprehensive about my first job, but after 3 weeks into the job i have become quite used to things there. i really thank God for putting me into this company, because the company is small, i get to be involved in the operations in a greater scale, and i get to be involved in the key decisions and operations. i do not see myself going back to work at that company after graduation, as i feel that the company does not need a civil engineer graduate, but through doing my internship there i get a taste of the construction industry in Singapore. my bosses are very nice and understanding as well, i managed to take 3 days of leave so that i can go for church retreat from 1-4 June at Batam. thank God for His providence!

time flies so fast, when school starts i'll be in my final year of study in NUS. that means having more workload, having design projects, having my final year project (FYP). also, i'll be continuing a second term of ST in Campus Crusade, so that is more time gone. also, i applied to be the bassist of a new band which Forerunner is forming, but i'll leave it to God to show me His plan for this season of my life.

things will be exciting in the new academic year! =p

giving thanks at 20:46 :)
